We all know how much kids like teasing each other, and it appears that the elephant kingdom is no exception.
Playful: These amazing photos capture an odd moment when four newborn elephants, each weighing up to 300kg, chose to climb on top of each other.
Captured in these incredible photos, four baby elephants pile on top of each as soon as they got a moment away from their mother.
The ‘little’ giants weighing up to 300kg each were drinking water as their mother cooled of before deciding to goof around.
Ayesha Cantor was caught on camera while out on a day excursion chatting to the Daily Mail, and she said:
We’d been sitting by the dam for more than an hour, watching numerous family groups come in to drink and play before leaving.”
“We had almost decided to walk on when I happened to look back for one final look and hurriedly shouted out for my husband to halt when I noticed the two kids apparently deep in discussion — one more photo transformed into the elephant bundle.”
Messy: The kids’ enthusiasm for play eventually devolved into a full-fledged brawl.
“I’ve heard and seen two infants playing briefly, but never four, and never for such a long time.”
“They push their limits in the same way as children do. Play enables kids to recognize their limits and how to act within their family.”
“It appeared to us to be just how people play, quite joyful and enjoyable.” It’s incredible to witness wild creatures having so much fun.”
“Having been near the bottom of a human pile-on before, you can imagine how relieved I was not to be that baby Ellie at the bottom of this one.”
