To aid a dog in severe need, a real animal lover placed himself in risk. The dog was struggling for her life after falling into a frozen pond, and she was almost surely not going to make it until aid came. However, a complete stranger stepped in and rescued the day. A series of images captured the occasion, demonstrating that some individuals are willing to go above and beyond for the love of animals!
Don Chatten was taking a stroll with his two dogs in Buffalo, New York, despite the fact that it was rather chilly outdoors. They were in Ellicott Creek Park, as usual, when a woman approached Don and asked for assistance. She was desperate since she couldn’t find her dog.
Don, a generous man, raced to her aid right away. It didn’t take long for the man to notice the small puppy. In the cold pond next to them, the poor animal was battling to keep his head up.
Don immediately knew the dog was in grave danger and dialed 911. However, he realized that it could be too late for the poor puppy to wait for rescue, so he took matters into his own hands. He attempted to crawl across the frozen surface, but it buckled beneath his weight. Don, on the other hand, did not give up and managed to approach the dog and pull him out of the water.
“The dog saw something in the water, a duck or something, and began after it,” Don told WKBW News. “I used to come here when I was a youngster, so I knew it wasn’t too deep here.”
