With apologies to Taylor Swift’s posse, an 80-year-old man from Fort Worth, Texas has just redefined #SquadGoals with his adorable posse of train-riding rescue dogs.

Bostick’s story has been making the rounds around the world this week as footage of the ingenious apparatus he created to “walk” nine dogs at once has gone viral on the internet.

Bostick has taken in a large number of stray dogs throughout the years. But he’s done more than simply keep them safe; he’s also devised a cute method to keep them pleased.

While the rescued dogs have plenty of space to run and play on Bostick’s property, the retiree felt it would be good to be able to take them on short vacations elsewhere. Around that time, he became inspired to create a canine-specific mode of transportation.

“I was out one day and saw this man with a tractor pulling boulders with these carts attached. ‘Dang, it would make a great dog train,’ I thought “Bostick said. “I’m a very excellent welder, so I put wheels beneath these plastic barrels with holes punched in them and tied them together.”

Bostick and the nine dogs now in his care can be seen walking around calm streets around town or through the forest near their house once or twice a week, or stopping by a nearby creek for some fresh air in the custom dog train. It’s something the dogs, who were previously neglected, have learnt to appreciate in their joyful new lives.

“They get so excited whenever they hear me hooking the tractor up to it,” Bostick added. “They all appear out of nowhere and leap into the fray. They’re all set to go.”

The dog train has gained a considerable amount of attention from locals, who periodically stop to ask if they may photograph it. But for Bostick, it’s all about delivering a little happiness to a few dogs that have gone through a lot before becoming his happy passengers.

“I’m getting up there in years. I’m 80 now, so I’m not sure how much longer it will continue, but I’ll keep going as long as I can “Bostick said. “The dogs are having a good time. They simply take pleasure in it.”
