Accidentally Ripping His Favorite Pillow The Dog Reacts In The Sweetest Way

Draco the pit bull did not have an easy start to life, but one thing has brought the dog comfort through good times and bad: a heart-shaped pillow with arms.

The odd-looking cushion follows the little pit dog wherever she goes. Draco’s mother, Allie O’Cain, told The Dodo that if anybody else picked up her son’s pillow, Draco would dash over and grab it. He takes a suck every night to get to sleep.

Recently, though, it appeared as though the dog’s beloved cushion might end up in the garbage, which Draco could not in any way tolerate.

Draco has treated his pillow with care ever since O’Cain rescued the orphaned puppy from a backyard breeder at just 2 weeks old.

“Draco is a crazy chewer and we have become a ‘rubber toy only’ house because anything with stuffing he will destroy in less than five minutes,” O’Cain said. “But he has been so gentle and loving with this pillow.”

However, Draco became a little bit overprotective when Willow, a black Lab, asked to share the cushion with him. The cushion was torn when he hurried over to retrieve his beloved item. It appeared as though the worst had happened when the stuffing started to flow out.

Fortunately, Draco’s grandma recognized what was taking place and reacted quickly.

We believe that the cushion was so worn out that it just tore, according to O’Cain. My mother panicked and grabbed it, shouting, “I’ll repair it, Draco!”

The cushion was brought to Draco’s grandmother’s sewing machine, where the “surgery” was started. However, Draco was unable to watch helplessly while his true love was being operated on.

Draco’s head and paws were visible the entire time, according to O’Cain. He was crying and putting his mouth to it.

O’Cain said on Facebook, “He acted as though his wife was in surgery.”

Draco ran to hug his beloved toy as soon as the cushion was fixed, obviously happy that it was entire once again.

O’Cain and her mom will continue to repair the pillow until Draco outgrows his childhood plaything — if that day ever does come. But knowing Draco, that seems doubtful.

“Bullies are the exact opposite of what people think,” O’Cain said. “They stay babies forever!”
