They had no clue how much Diesel was going to adore the adorable little plush pig when Diesel’s parents initially brought it home. He did not play with anything else for two days, and his parents assumed that it would ultimately be destroyed like all of his other toys.

They eventually discovered stuffing everywhere one day, but were perplexed to find that something was different from the previous discovery.

Diesel had only ripped off the stuffed pig’s tail — and that was it. Otherwise, the pig was totally OK. Diesel’s parents bought him another pig, and after two days, the exact same thing happened again.

That was two years ago, and since then, Diesel has ripped only the tails off of dozens and dozens of toy pigs, and his parents have no idea why.

Tim Eberts, Diesel’s father, told The Dodo, “I initially believed it was for the squeaker but we found the squeakers were intact nonetheless.” Since then, we have continued to buy him more pigs because he seems to adore them. He would play with them for approximately two days, concentrating on the underside, until deciding one day to simply pull off the tail and remove all of the stuffing.

Diesel’s parents began shooting photos of him with all of his pigs because he appears so happy of himself every time he tears off another tail, as if that’s precisely what he was meant to be doing.

“He never acts guilty,” Eberts said.

Diesel loves posing with his collection of tailless pigs, but for some reason, he won’t actually play with them anymore once their tails are gone.

“Once the booty-eating deed is done, and stuffing ripped out, he is no longer interested in the pigs,” Eberts said.

Instead, his parents simply keep giving him money to buy more pigs, which keeps the cycle going.

Diesel’s parents may never understand why he enjoys tearing his pigs’ tails off so much, but because it makes him happy, they have given up trying to understand and simply keep buying new pigs.
