This is the heart-stopping moment when a family in Hoedspruit, South Africa, comes face-to-face with six large wild cats while checking on one of their properties. The young couple is ready to enter the house, but they can’t believe their eyes when they see a group of lions lying about on the terrace!
When David De Beer and his wife Mariska went to inspect his father’s property at the Leadwood Big Game Estate, they discovered the unexpected visitors. The pride of lions made themselves at home on the back porch because the house is for sale and no one is living there.
Even though David and Mariska’s presence didn’t appear to worry them, the gorgeous beasts went away once the pair closed the entry door. David even took a video of the stunning incident and posted it online.
“My father constructed the house on Leadwood and put it on the market, and it sat unoccupied for the entire month of December and the Christmas season,” David told News 24. “So we went to check on the home to see if everything was okay, and when we came, we spotted the tail through the glass from the front door.
Despite the fact that such a view does not appear to be particularly pleasant, David stated that he is used to seeing animals surrounding the property, even enormous felines such as these lions. “They don’t usually sleep on the patio like that,” he explained, “but we’re used to having animals around here, so we were just careful when we walked in since they might come through that glass.”
