Kissing Her New Hairless Sibling Is A Compulsion For A Rescued Dog

When it comes to other dogs, the 9-year-old pittie has always had a lot of fear, and she’s never been interested in toys or playing. It was as though Sasha had forgotten how to “dog.”

Cristiano told The Dodo, “She is the most awkward dog.” “She sits and eats in an odd manner. She’s cute, but she’s very needy.”

When Cristiano brought home two pups, Biagio and Donatella, everything changed. Cristiano believed that by gradually introducing the puppies to Sasha, she would learn to tolerate them. Sasha never anticipated to build such a strong attachment with the puppies in just two weeks, especially with Donatella.

“I thought it’d be difficult, but I didn’t believe it’d be impossible, and I didn’t think they’d be this close,” Cristiano added. “The girls are much closer now.” They’re inseparable and always lay on top of one other.”

Sasha used to console herself by continually kissing her mother before seeing the puppies. Cristiano described her as a “compulsive licker.” “Before the pups, she was always licking our feet, which is cute at first, but after 20 minutes, she’s like, ‘I don’t want to be licked anymore.'”

Donatella is a Xoloitzcuintli with nearly hairless skin, and something about her or the texture of her skin made Sasha want to lick her all the time.

Donatella, unlike Cristiano, seems unconcerned by Sasha’s tongue baths.

“They’re both pleased now,” Cristiano remarked, “since Sasha has someone to kiss and the puppy is going asleep to it.”

Every day, the two sisters sit down for a relaxing spa treatment. Sasha gets to lick Donatella to calm her anxiousness, and Donatella gets a lengthy bath and massage. Donatella’s skin stays fresh and moisturized thanks to all of her licking.

“When they conduct their spa treatment, they take up the entire sofa,” Cristiano explained. “They both have to lay down, and no one else is allowed to sit on the couch with them.”

Cristiano never imagined Sasha would later in life offer her heart to two small playmates. The uncomfortable personality of the rescue dog has entirely transformed now.

“Both pups give her a lot of vitality,” Cristiano explained. “I don’t believe she was very happy before — she never got to play with toys or with other dogs, and now that she has these two pups, she suddenly loves chew toys, tennis balls, and wrestling with them.” It’s hilarious.”

Every day is a new adventure for Sasha now, proving that even an elderly dog can learn new skills.

“We brought in two monster pups that chew her face, pull her tail, and jump all over her, and she loves it,” Cristiano explained. “It’s the oddest thing, but she enjoys them a lot.”
