Bruno looks so happy and cherished in his new permanent home that you’d never suspect there was a time when he was unwanted.
Lujan Videla and her partner were wandering near their house in Argentina the other day when they came upon a dog they’d never seen before, alone on a street corner. Bruno was the culprit.
Videla told The Dodo, “He felt so alone and lost.” “I instructed my partner to remain with him and wait for his owner to emerge,” she said.
But no one ever showed up.
Bruno eventually started walking, taking Videla and her partner to the front door of an apartment complex.
“We followed him and saw that he was trying to go into the building,” Videla explained.
A placard on the door greeted them as they arrived.
“Keep the dog out,” the notice plainly stated.
Videla and her partner learned from a building tenant that Bruno had been living there with an older man until lately. The man may have died or been forced to leave unexpectedly, according to reports.
Bruno ended up alone and homeless sometime along the line, which he didn’t realize. Despite the fact that some people had taken pity on him and started feeding him outside, he was so anxious to get into the building that management had put up a notice stating that no one would let him in.
Videla stated, “It makes you understand how insensitive people can be.” “Bruno was in a bad mood. He was frantic to get in.”
Videla and her partner made the decision to assist.
After they took Bruno home, Videla and her boyfriend spread the word about him in case his former owner or the man’s family were seeking for him. But it was all for naught. They could see how distraught Bruno was at the time.
The depth of his loss appeared to trickle in over the following few days after his lonely vigil at the door ended.
Things rapidly improved, though.
Bruno’s damaged heart began to heal as he was surrounded by his rescuers’ love and care.
“Days passed, and his face transformed,” Videla explained. “He started to smile.”
Videla explained, “He was adopted by a very trustworthy guy who lives across the street from me.” “We go on walks as a group. He is overjoyed.”
Videla is still frustrated that the apartment building’s administration did not do more to assist Bruno, but she hopes that his ordeal will inspire greater compassion for other dogs.
“Some people don’t recognize they are living creatures that have the same feelings as us,” Videla said, adding that Bruno is now “a totally new dog.”
