After his mother probably abandoned him in a public park in England, a brave dog saved a newborn’s life. Surprisingly, no one saw the small one until he was found by the quick-thinking dog!

Terry Walsh, a 64-year-old retired engineer, went for a stroll with his dog, Hel, in Birmingham’s Kings Norton Park, one of their favorite spots.

However, as they strolled along, the Husky saw something and began acting strangely. A two-hour-old newborn was discovered wrapped in a blanket. Fortunately, the dog persistence saved the little one’s life.

“There was a rolled-up blanket right beneath the shrubs as we walked up to the top of The Mounds, looking down towards Shannon Road,” the dog’s owner told Birmingham Live. “She walked up to the blanket, sat down next to it, and softly nudged it with her nose.”

Walsh was taken aback when he heard a noise from the blanket that sounded just like a baby sobbing. As a result, he hastened to look into it.

“All of a sudden, I heard this baby cry,” he explained. “I think it was Hel’s gentle nudging and the heat from my Husky’s body that woke the baby up.”

Walsh, relieved that the baby was alive, summoned the cops, who arrived quickly and whisked the tiny soul away to the hospital.

Despite the fact that baby was in good health, his mother was nowhere to be located, according to the police. The little baby was named “George” as he was found within a few days before St. George’s Day.

“Baby George is healthy and doing well,” West Midlands Police wrote on Facebook. “But sadly we’ve still not been able to find his mum. We’re very concerned for her and want to check she is doing okay, both physically and mentally.”

Let’s hope that little George and his mum will soon reunite!
