On the one hand, it was Jax’s parents’ big day, one they’d undoubtedly spent months painstakingly organizing.
However, WAIT, IS THAT A POND?!?!
Alex Simon, a wedding photographer, posted some amusing footage from a recent wedding in which the couple’s cute puppy, Jax, was clearly playing the role of ‘best pup.’
While someone in that position should ideally assist keep things operating smoothly, the water-loving canine had other ideas.
Jax found a wonderful swimming place directly behind them during a picture session with the other guys. And, well, he couldn’t pass up the opportunity.

Fortunately, despite Jax abandoning all decorum in taking that impromptu dip, the actual wedding ceremony appears to have carried on without a hitch.
That is to say, aside from the “hitch” everyone was there for.
Sure, the picture session had to be temporarily halted when Jax splashed around in the pond, but for photographer Alex Simon, it just added to the couple’s special day:
Simon told The Dodo, “We all found it hysterical.” “All he had to do was look for his chance, which he did!”
